Aldersgate Centre Methodist Church

After the Christchurch earthquakes in 2010, the Durham Street Methodist Church and the Aldersgate Centre were substantially damaged and needed to be demolished and rebuilt. 

The new building was designed by architects Wilkie and Bruce, and features our Trilogy chair and our Church chair. Both chairs are easy to stack, move and store, meaning the space remains flexible and multipurpose, ideal for a church with many different activities happening throughout the week. 

Two different coloured fabrics were chosen, slate grey for the Trilogy chairs, and a lighter stone grey for the Church chairs. This fabric was sourced from Warwick, known for their wide range of contemporary fabric choices.
