Oxford town hall

The Oxford Town Hall in Canterbury, New Zealand underwent a refurbishment project in late 2014 with the aim of creating a multipurpose space and flexibility, through seating choices, for the various groups that used the facility.

Alloyfold supplied samples of their convention seating range and the Estilo convention chair was chosen for its comfortable padding, its stackability (up to 15 high) and its linking system which met fire codes.  Alloyfold also supplied 4 trolleys to ensure the simplicity of moving stacks of chairs around. 

In addition to the lower level seating, the Oxford Town Hall also required fixed venue seating for the small, upper gallery.  They purchased 70 Beethoven seats which featured an optional damper lift (vs gravity lift) for a smoother seat return and wooden seat ends to fit in with the period of the building.

The building was officially opened in early 2015.
